Rosemary-Cranberry Margaritas

I'm a big supporter of wine, but in my book, the perfect start to a leisurely, multi-course meal is a delicious, lovingly prepared cocktail.



This margarita is infused with cranberry and rosemary, classic holiday flavors. So if you're hosting Thanksgiving this year, consider greeting your guests at the door with one of these concoctions. Or, better yet, if you're a guest at someone's home, bring the fixings and treat everyone to your bartending skills!



Rosemary-Cranberry Margaritas
makes 2 cocktails

4 oz tequila
4 oz cranberry juice blend
1 oz triple sec
2 limes, juiced
3 sprigs fresh rosemary
Ice
Salt

Prepare glasses: wet rims with discarded lime halves. Fill a small plate with kosher salt and coat rims of glasses in salt. For an extra festive look, first combine the salt and food coloring of your choice in a plastic baggie; massage the baggie to mix in the food coloring. This is a great trick to make your salt or sugar lined cocktails look fancy!

Combine triple sec and the leaves from one sprig of rosemary in a measuring cup or cocktail shaker. With a pestle or wooden spoon, muddle the rosemary.

Add tequila, cranberry juice, juice of the two limes, and ice. Shake or stir to combine and chill. Strain into two glasses over more ice and garnish each with a sprig of rosemary.
